Chanel Pave & Pearl Double Cornucopia Brooch
This is a magnificent Chanel brooch, signed Made in France and numbered
23, which I believe is pre-1970s. The brooch is a large 3 3/4" inches at
the widest part and 3" inches tall. It consists of what I believe are
double cornucopias, each directing their abundance in opposite directions.
The gold plated design on the body of each cornucopia appears hammered,
and is edged on the top by a line of crystals, pave set. Atop each are
three goldtone leaves all filled with pave set stones, and five large faux
pearls in a spray. This lovely brooch was purchased in Paris. In very good
condition, with no wear to the plating, no stone replacements of any kind.
There is one small surface scratch on one pearl but it is invisible to the
naked eye. It can only be seen by using a loupe.
